The belt of suburbs around Badgerys Creek — Fairfield, Cabramatta, Mount Druitt, St Marys, Erskine Park, Horsley Park, Cecil Hills — gets an international airport in the neighbourhood on 25 October 2026: Western Sydney International, curfew-free and about 25 km by road from the middle of the region, typically 25–35 minutes.

About 41 km by road, typically 40–55 min in normal traffic. Sydney Airport has three terminals — T1 international, T2 and T3 domestic — so your booking carries the flight number and the driver goes to the terminal the airline actually uses. There is an 11pm to 6am curfew, which limits overnight flights.

About 25 km by road, typically 25–35 min. WSI opens to passengers on 25 October 2026 with a single terminal for both domestic and international flights, and no curfew — so it can take flights at hours Sydney Airport's 11pm to 6am curfew limits.
There is no train to WSI yet. Five bus routes serve it every 30 minutes, 5am to 10pm daily. The free WSI Link shuttle also links St Marys station to the terminal. It starts once passenger flights begin on 25 October 2026. Full timetables are on the comparison page. Outside those hours, or with luggage a bus will not take, a booked car is the practical option.
